May 2022
We booked this tour for 2 adults in May 2022 and I have to say I was a little disappointed especially after paying £176. The tour stops at: - Santa Monica pier for 30 mins - Venice Beach for 30 mins - Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive for 30 mins - The Grove and farmers market for an hour (this is also the lunch stop) - Griffith Park for 30 mins (also view point for tiny Hollywood Sign) - Hollywood Boulevard (walk of fame) for 30 mins The pick up process was relatively easy, you receive a text the day before with your pick up time but to expect the drive to arrive within 25 minutes of that time (there’s a phone number too in case no one arrives within that time). Water is also provided on the tour. The driver who collected us didn’t tell us anything, not his name, where we were going or what the plan was. We were then taken to a cafe at Santa Monica where we stopped and were advised we would be getting on another bus (we had no idea what was going on so the process was confusing). You can order a coffee or a snack here but by the time it came, we were asked to pour it into a take away cup as we needed to leave. When we actually got on our tour bus it was a good group size and the bus was comfortable. As with many of these tours the driver is also the guide but I have to say, it was clear he was distracted between the two tasks and he kept stopping and restarting his sentences as clearly trying to concentrate on the road. Driving was also a bit erratic (even with seatbelts on) and very heavy on the break that jerked you forward. They also kept playing music way too loud and then the driver was talking over the music so you couldn’t hear what he was saying. He was also playing music and then stopping it every 2 seconds to speak, I’d rather just not have the music. Left the tour with a banging headache. I have been to LA before but I didn’t particularly learn anything interesting, a small bit of history but not a lot and only a couple of bits pointed out from movie locations. You hardly get any time at all in the stops (I’m sure it’s great if you’re short on time but have never been to LA before) by the time you’ve managed to find the public toilet it’s time to leave and you’ve seen nothing. The guide also didn’t really point much out to you as you left the bus of cool things to see. You get to see the canals of Venice beach for a split second as you drive past. I was really keen to see Griffith park and the observatory only to note it was closed on Mondays … the day we had booked for (something that wasn’t advertised otherwise I’d have booked a different day). Mind you, if it had been open you wouldn’t have time to see it all in 30 minutes anyway. Also don’t book if you think you’ll get a good view of the Hollywood sign as you don’t, best way to view is a hike. Overall, disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend unless you just want to take a photo through a window on a whistle stop tour of LA.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Full-Day Iconic Sights of LA tour!’ The tour started with a shuttle pickup from a downtown hotel. The initial driver was courteous and ensured everyone in our party was accounted for prior to leaving. The shuttle, itself, was very clean and had charging ports readily available for the all day adventure. Prior to each scheduled stop, the driver provided invaluable information to the passengers that further assisted each of us in appreciating the sights and sounds around us. The scheduled times to report back to the shuttle after each stop, including lunch, were more than sufficient. Overall, on a scale of 10 out of 10, my family and I rated the tour a 10! The tour afforded us the opportunity to see iconic sights that has ultimately created a lifetime of memories…

We traveled with my 22 month old daughter and it was a great experience. Good atmosphere in the bus, and it is very practical to visit a city in one day. George, the driver is great! Thank you
