We had a great time! Thank you especially to our tour guide Catherine. She was very friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable. We met up in Williams and travelled along historic Route 66 to Peach Springs at the Hualapai Reservation. I usually hate riding/driving in a car, but the scenery is breathtaking the whole way. There is a 19 mi. Ride into and out of the Grand Canyon, and yes it is bumpy but it is a canyon road. We decided to hike the last mile to the river and really enjoyed that too. If you decide to hike there are little streams to cross and the road was mushy in places, but please donā€™t let that deter you. Do wear clothes and shoes you donā€™t mind getting wet and maybe a little muddy. When we arrived at the river lunch was provided, and there is a spot to swim and cool off. On the way back to Williams we made a stop in Seligman on Route 66 for ice cream at Delgadilloā€™s Snow Cap Drive-In. A really charming town with lots of character(s) (pun intended). Fun to find out Peach Springs and Seligman were part of the inspiration for the Pixar movie, Cars. Thank you for the wonderful time! My whole family highly recommends this tour! Ages 40, 37, 20, 12.

A great tour! Brought my husband and 9 year old son! Learned a lot about the Grand Canyon from the audio tour and my son loved the cowboy stories, too! The beach where we could splash in the Colorado River was fun, and mostly empty except for our tour group. It was pristine. There were porta-pottyā€™s, so very convenient for kids. We saw wild horses, burros, and sheep. Our guide brought apples for the burros and we fed them. Our guide was from Ashfork and very knowledgeable and very personable.

Getting there from Williams if over an hour, then when you turn to get to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, you drive on a dirt road for almost two hours with a lot of jolting. When arrive at the "bottom," it doesn't feel like you are at the bottom, just feels like you are at a nice stream. If you didn't have to travel so much to get to the bottom, it might be okay. But definitely not worth the cost or the time, its expensive and it takes an entire day and you are where they call the bottom, for only one hour.

Sorry it was not what you expected. It was however what it was supposed to be. The trip from Williams is the same travel time as it is to the top. Nothing is really close to each other here. The exceptions that you forgot to mention for all of our viewers is #1 we give a very detailed and interesting tour of historic Rt 66 along the way that everyone seem to really enjoy, sorry you did not. 2nd, there is no paved road to get to the bottom, if there were I would be out of business, #3 Have you ever been to the bottom? I promise you it looked the way it should. You are in the Inner gorge once arriving, the bottom of the bottom and your line of sight does not allow you to see the massive canyon walls that are mile out and thousands of feet high. However the canyon walls getting higher as you go lower puts it all in perspective, sorry you missed that. And last and certainly not least, never call the mighty Colorado River a stream, its just degrading. If air conditioned comfort to the bottom isn't right for you, may I suggest next time try the Mules, and again I'm sorry this tour wasn't right for you!
