I have been to Miami at least 10 times, so I was skeptical when my husband surprised me with this tour. My pre-tour call with Myriam was great, but I still wasn't sure if it was worth it to book a shopping/art guide in a city I know well. Only six blocks from where Peter and Myriam picked me up, our first stop blew me away. From that awesome boutique, that I never would have found on my own, to a private meeting with a designer on the opening day of her new boutique, it was one wonderful surprise after the other. It was a whirlwind of unique shops, interesting people and laughs with Myriam and Peter. Myriam showed me places that fit my style and tastes perfectly, while Peter showed great patience with us both as we laughed and shopped and were late at every stop. I can't wait to go to Italy with Couturista and my girlfriends. My suggestions: Have the pre-call with your guide. It gives them the chance to customize your tour, which they do very well. Don't worry about being pressured to buy at every boutique and gallery you visit. Everyone we met was gracious, welcoming and happy to see us with no pressure.
