20200801. Captains log. Today was my 25th birthday and decided to spend some of it on the river rafting. My raft guide was Patrick or as i liked to call him in my head Captain Red Beard. He was chock full of these super cheesy terrible jokes that never failed to have the boat roaring with chuckles that was promptly covered up by rushing rapids. As the senior most experienced raft guide he was daring enough to try tricks such as using the paddle to hang from a bridge as the boat floated away! I highlu reccomend this rafting company above others because of how fun and personable everybody was. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Keep up the good work guys! Thanks for an aweslme birthday! :)

This was a highlight of our trip and we are so glad we booked the full day rafting trip. The best rapids are on the second half of the trip and we were glad that we had not stopped before that adventure! Hayden was our guide and he did an amazing job!! He made sure that everyone got wet (even turning the raft purposely at one point - haha!) and he also made sure we switched up seats after lunch so that everyone could get the fun of being closer to the front. He shared lots of cool info and answered everyone's questions with kind, thoughtful answers. We were very glad he was our guide!! The company handles the big crowd with ease - you could tell they knew what they were doing. We are also very glad we rafted on the Yellowstone River. We saw groups going out to raft on the Gallatin while we were fishing and we could not believe they were going to be "rafting" in knee deep water. There are so many rocks and very narrow or shallow spots. The Yellowstone is deep and wide enough that we were never fearful of hitting rocks. Our guide also did an excellent job of steering us around the couple obstacles we faced. The Yellowstone River is much better and we were thrilled we used this company!! Book because you are going to have a great time! And also book directly with them. They have a great cancellation/ change policy which is good during these times of Covid. The first place I clicked to book with them was not directly on their website and had different age ranges for "children pricing" and said it could not be cancelled for a refund.

It all started when a 4th of July birthday rafting trip in Oklahoma that we were going on with our daughter and her friends fell through. I remember seeing people rafting on the Yellowstone River the four or five times that we have visited Yellowstone through the North Entrance. I thought that it might be a great idea to give this a shot and it might also be a better experience. I then asked my wife if she thought that our daughter would like this trip since the other one fell through. We agreed & then we asked our daughter. She reluctantly agreed because of the long trip from Oklahoma. we went and it was awesome!!!! From checking in & making a walk up reservation to the guides and their jokes. All of the guides were great (Ours was Hayden. He was a hoot) We starting off with the safety class before the trip and,.......... then I started having second thoughts about what have I gotten ourselves into as we blasted into the first cold as hell waves and rapids.......... LOL then blasting through some more waves and rapids eating lunch, hitting more rapids and finally JUMPING OFF THE BRIDGE and finally riding the bus back with all the guides telling jokes. This all day trip was well worth the drive from Oklahoma and we'll be doing this again. We are all glad the other trip fell through. one last thing MAKE SURE THAT YOU TIP YOUR GUIDES.
