We went the day before Fatherā€™s Day with Brant (spelling). He was simply the best! With 3 teenagers, he gave them each a chance to ride the bull, he played beach games and raft games with them, he listened to them and did not push them to do something they were not comfortable with. He also showed us great sites near shore, was full of humor, and had lots of info. In fact, he was so excellent that when we did the Snake with a different company the next day, my kids were bored. My son said the trip with Brant from Riggins was his favorite. My only regret is that we did not have time to look at the photos. Thanks guys for a terrific day!!

We had 9 friends in our party for a 5 day rafting trip down the Snake River. We are in our late 60s and early 70s and the trip was not beyond our capabilities-- because we are active and fit. Our guides were always professional, cheerful, supportive, and helpful. Their expertise as tour guides was great. Their expertise as mountain river rafters is the highest. We were always safe, and accommodations were fine. Yes, we had to sleep in tents, but the pads were 3 inches thick and comfy. This is afterall, a wilderness vacation. Every meal was a masterpiece: rib eye steaks, mashed potatoes, great fruit at every meal, bacon and eggs, pancakes for breakfast. Always something different. They even baked a birthday cake for my 13 year old grandson. What a surprise. They achieved a perfect 10 and earned their tip at the end of the trip. Can't say enough.

Just returned from MRO's 5-day raft trip down the Snake River. This was a well organized trip, suitable for active 60 year olds. The scenery was exquisite and the rapids were fun but not outrageous. We saw big horn sheep, white tail deer, bald eagles, ospreys, and caught many fish ( catch and release). The youngest in our group, a 13 year old fishing enthusiast, caught 51 fish! The MRO guides did all the paddling, camp set up, food prep, and camp break down. Our guides Jesse, Jeff and gear boatman Curtis (also a qualified guide) were exceptional -- upbeat, diligent, well-informed, accommodating, and observant. They took notice of the least thing I wanted and happily obliged. They have years of experience on the Snake and the nearby Salmon. Their goofy humor and singing (John Prine alert!) bonded our little band of 9 and kept us in high spirits. I will point out that their literature is a little out of date. They no longer include 2 free glasses of wine with dinner. So be sure you order, or bring with, your adult beverages. I heartily recommend MRO and hope you are lucky enough to get Jesse, Jeff, and Curtis as your support team.
