The true test of an outstanding travel company is how they respond to glitches in a trip. MRO could have easily cancelled our highly anticipated family vacation with everything that was happening during our weekend. But with fires raging around us and feared evacuations in the town that the company was based, Mountain River Outfitters never let go of their "can do" attitude. They adjusted our route, and actually improved it, by going way out of their way to make sure we had the best river ride ever. From the moment we met our guides, Heather, Allison, and Stephen, their enthusiasm removed any concerns we had about our new itinerary. The fun immediately began after we put in, and we were very well taken care for the entire two days. The food was exceptionally good, and even after Allison had set up our camp by herself in gale force winds, she was handing out appetizers soon after we landed, with a smile on her face. Heather and Stephen were outstanding guides, accommodating our family at all times. Their knowledge and respect of the river made us feel very safe, and they really know their way thru the rapids. We absolutely recommend this guide company, and we will absolutely be back!

We did a full day trip down the Salmon River. The rafting company is great, I would highly recommend booking with Mountain River for a whitewater excursion. I wasn't sure how our girls would like it but they had a smile on their face the whole time! It was such an amazing trip. Dane was our guide and he was great not only at navigating the boat but giving us a little history of the area as well. Plus he was great with the kids. For lunch, this company really pulls out all the stops. They made a wonderful lunch when we stopped on this beach, including fresh baked cookies! Fresh fruit, salad, wraps, chips, it was a feast! This is such a great way to spend some time with your family or friends; the crew at Mountain River Outfitters make sure you have an enjoyable experience! Thank you Mountain River Outfitters!
