Well…. Before taking the drive to Galveston I was highly impressed that these tours existed in July rather than only in October. I had a epiphany about halfway through the tour. “It’s hot out here, we are walking through a cemetery, and it is not haunted. At all. This is why it’s available in July.” Although I can’t knock the hustle because it’s an excellent way to make money from people from other places in the country. When it was over, that’s exactly how I felt. “Hustled”. The straw that broke the camels back was when they introduced an app on your smartphone to help you see spirit movement. Like, C’mon man! Are you kidding me? I suppose if the headline would have said “Historic Tour of graves of soldiers who fought in the Confederate War”, it would have been more truthful. I also understand that I would not have booked this tour if it said that so I get it. But although our guide was very nice, this tour was the worst dollars I spent on my trip.

Bern was a great guide - full of interesting information and answered all of our questions. Our group was a mixture of couples and families with children ranging from elementary to high school students. Bern was able to make the tour interesting for all. We recommend this tour highly, and ask specifically for her.

Bernie was our guide and she is a native of Galveston. She was really great at telling the history of each person. She made it really interesting so much so that it really stuck with me. Loved learning about the various ghost that make their presence known. Loved learning things about Galveston and the history you don't hear about. I would highly recommend if you love history and want to hear some very interesting stories.
