What To Expect
1
The Loop
The area most associated with gangster era crime and haunting is know as “The Loop”. This was the cities vice district during the roaring 20’s and 1930’s riddled with speakeasy saloons, secret underground tunnels used by bootleggers and the headquarters of famous gangsters such as Al Capone. The tour is about 1.5 miles long with frequents stops and a refreshment/restroom break.
2
Millennium Park
Home to Cloud Gate and a famous Chicago landmark.
3
Palmer House Hilton Historic Lobby
Stop for a break at the Palmer House Hotel, rumored to be haunted. The Palmer House Hotel is the oldest hotel in Chicago and considered the oldest continuously operating hotel in the USA.
4
Chicago Riverwalk
You'll walk along the Riverwalk during the tour, which is guided by a Historian. It is not theatrical, but rather the tales are told in a more “around the campfire” fashion. Spooky and verified ghost stories will be shared throughout the tour along with visiting the famous gangster hang outs.
5
Cloud Gate
Will be seen on the tour - also known as "the bean!"
6
The Chicago Theatre
Stop for photos at this famous Chicago landmark!

I wanted to love this tour but there was so much bad about it. First off, it's 99% ghosts and 1% gangsters. The gangsters part is really basic stuff that you would already know if interested in this tour - and some of it was wrong info. You don't actually see anywhere - they just stop in random places and tell stories. The ghost stuff was frustrating. Everyone in our tour group said we were interested in gangster stuff and didn't want ghosts but that is not what we got. And the ghost stuff was just like "here is where a bunch of people died and now people say it's haunted." The stops had 1-2 min of info and then everyone walked silently to the next stop - for some of this time, the tour guide was just on their phone on social media. For some inexplicable reason there is a 20 minute break at the Palmer House. Why we need such a long break in such a short tour is beyond me. Skip it, skip it, skip it. Take the architecture tour and then download a walking tour and podcast and do your own thing.
