What To Expect

The Loop

The area most associated with gangster era crime and haunting is know as “The Loop”. This was the cities vice district during the roaring 20’s and 1930’s riddled with speakeasy saloons, secret underground tunnels used by bootleggers and the headquarters of famous gangsters such as Al Capone. The tour is about 1.5 miles long with frequents stops and a refreshment/restroom break.

Home to Cloud Gate and a famous Chicago landmark.

Palmer House Hilton Historic Lobby

Stop for a break at the Palmer House Hotel, rumored to be haunted. The Palmer House Hotel is the oldest hotel in Chicago and considered the oldest continuously operating hotel in the USA.

Chicago Riverwalk

You'll walk along the Riverwalk during the tour, which is guided by a Historian. It is not theatrical, but rather the tales are told in a more “around the campfire” fashion. Spooky and verified ghost stories will be shared throughout the tour along with visiting the famous gangster hang outs.

Thanks to Andre for a terrific tour. This was my 3rd trip to Chicago and by taking this tour, I learned so much about the buildings and Chicago history that I had not known from my previous trips. Andre was a personable and knowledgeable tour guide. I thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone coming for a visit to Chicago. The only change I would make is to not do a walking tour on a day with a heat warning. 🤷‍♀️ Thank you again, Andre!

This tour was amazing and I learned so much about history relevant to Chicago in addition to Al Capone, other gangsters, and ghosts. Andre was extremely entertaining, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. I recommend this tour with him to anyone coming to the Chicago area. I’m from New Orleans and it made my trip.

My husband and I had a blast on the Ghosts and Gangsters tour. Andre, our excellent guide, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and a great storyteller. It was extremely hot that day, but Andre was thoughtful and let us stay indoors for most of the tour. We had an awesome experience and enjoyed learning about Chicago's history.
