What To Expect
1
The Loop
The area most associated with gangster era crime and haunting is know as “The Loop”. This was the cities vice district during the roaring 20’s and 1930’s riddled with speakeasy saloons, secret underground tunnels used by bootleggers and the headquarters of famous gangsters such as Al Capone. The tour is about 1.5 miles long with frequents stops and a refreshment/restroom break.
2
Millennium Park
Home to Cloud Gate and a famous Chicago landmark.
3
Palmer House Hilton Historic Lobby
Stop for a break at the Palmer House Hotel, rumored to be haunted. The Palmer House Hotel is the oldest hotel in Chicago and considered the oldest continuously operating hotel in the USA.
4
Chicago Riverwalk
You'll walk along the Riverwalk during the tour, which is guided by a Historian. It is not theatrical, but rather the tales are told in a more “around the campfire” fashion. Spooky and verified ghost stories will be shared throughout the tour along with visiting the famous gangster hang outs.
5
Cloud Gate
Will be seen on the tour - also known as "the bean!"
6
The Chicago Theatre
Stop for photos at this famous Chicago landmark!

My wife and I recently went to Chicago for a business-related trip, and we had a few extra days there to "be tourists." So, we like to do night time tours on at least one night when we can, and this one looked very intriguing - combining two areas of interest we have. Our guide was Sarah. It was her first week, and she was fabulous! Like she had been doing this all her (young) life! She had so many fun facts and details, and extras--not part of the "official" shpiel--that is certainly way more than the price of admission! Sarah recently graduated from Yale University, and she mentioned that Al Capone had once worked for a forgotten mob leader by the name of Frankie Yale. Then there's this tall hotel behind the Congress Hotel near Grant Park that looks like it has a giant tub of ice cream on the roof. Or, a giant hot tub. Anyway, extras! All in all, many exciting, sometimes horrifying, sometimes sad and shocking, but all very informative stories! We definitely recommend Gangsters and Ghosts Tours, and ask for Sarah to be your guide!

Heidi was a great tour guide and I learned a lot about the history of Chicago as well as Al Capone. The only change I would make would be ending where we started instead of a few blocks down the street
