What To Expect
1
The Loop
The area most associated with gangster era crime and haunting is know as “The Loop”. This was the cities vice district during the roaring 20’s and 1930’s riddled with speakeasy saloons, secret underground tunnels used by bootleggers and the headquarters of famous gangsters such as Al Capone. The tour is about 1.5 miles long with frequents stops and a refreshment/restroom break.
2
Millennium Park
Home to Cloud Gate and a famous Chicago landmark.
3
Palmer House Hilton Historic Lobby
Stop for a break at the Palmer House Hotel, rumored to be haunted. The Palmer House Hotel is the oldest hotel in Chicago and considered the oldest continuously operating hotel in the USA.
4
Chicago Riverwalk
You'll walk along the Riverwalk during the tour, which is guided by a Historian. It is not theatrical, but rather the tales are told in a more “around the campfire” fashion. Spooky and verified ghost stories will be shared throughout the tour along with visiting the famous gangster hang outs.
5
Cloud Gate
Will be seen on the tour - also known as "the bean!"
6
The Chicago Theatre
Stop for photos at this famous Chicago landmark!

Our tour guy, who was an actor was GREAT!! He was knowledgeable and friendly. However, the walking route toward the "Palms Hotel' was lame. There was NO NEED to take a 15 minute break in the hotel, to buy an over priced brownie. It felt like a lame 'sales pitch" for the hotel cafe. I've done several tours like this and this was not top rated. Here are some things, that would make the tour more enjoyable: 1. Continue to go to the Palms Hotel, BUT not take a 15 minute break. Just continue the tour. 2. If you are going to pitch the "famous hotel brownie" speech, then the cafe needs to be aware of our tour coming in to sample. 3. Do not make us pay for the LAME brownies, that are in the refrigerator and old on the shelf. Have FREE samples for us to eat. These points would make the tour a lot better. Unfortunately, I will not recommend. Thanks! T. C.
