What To Expect
1
The Loop
The area most associated with gangster era crime and haunting is know as “The Loop”. This was the cities vice district during the roaring 20’s and 1930’s riddled with speakeasy saloons, secret underground tunnels used by bootleggers and the headquarters of famous gangsters such as Al Capone. The tour is about 1.5 miles long with frequents stops and a refreshment/restroom break.
2
Millennium Park
Home to Cloud Gate and a famous Chicago landmark.
3
Palmer House Hilton Historic Lobby
Stop for a break at the Palmer House Hotel, rumored to be haunted. The Palmer House Hotel is the oldest hotel in Chicago and considered the oldest continuously operating hotel in the USA.
4
Chicago Riverwalk
You'll walk along the Riverwalk during the tour, which is guided by a Historian. It is not theatrical, but rather the tales are told in a more “around the campfire” fashion. Spooky and verified ghost stories will be shared throughout the tour along with visiting the famous gangster hang outs.
5
Cloud Gate
Will be seen on the tour - also known as "the bean!"
6
The Chicago Theatre
Stop for photos at this famous Chicago landmark!

A little disappointed. Basically this is a walking tour of the Loop with stories of ghosts and gangsters thrown in. It did cover a lot of ground though and I was able to snap a few really good pics.

This tour is a must. This was the first thing we did when we arrived to the city. It was good to walk around and get our bearings of things. Our tour guide Conner was very good at narrating the story through each stop. It was easy to follow along and he also asked us questions throughout to see if we knew anything before he continued the story. The walking tour seems lengthy but it went by fast and didn't feel like a lot of walking. I enjoyed this tour because we also went inside a few buildings which was very cool. Chicago has a lot of history and this was a great way to learn. Our tour was at 11am, I am not sure how it is at night for the 8pm when it is dark, especially during the fall/winter. I am not sure if it adds an extra level of spook, probably just more cold and windy so the daytime slot was good for us.
