We were first timers on the Segway. Our guide, Big D made sure we learnt and practiced how to prior to the start while making sure we stayed safe. From there on it was all vrooom and fun. He was a really interesting guy and gave us snippets from his life as ranger/firefighter at this very park. Over all it was an awesome tour. Big thumbs up to Big D.

"Big D" was our guide, and he was great, and quite knowledgeable with his rounded experience being a former park ranger, as well as paramedic/firefighter. He was very interesting and pointed out many things on our tour. He told us stories and had a great sense of humor. The tour itself was very good, and fun, but slower than we would have liked. Our family has been on other segwey tours before so we were fairly experienced at riding, and wish we could have spent more time riding on the segweys than being off of them. Nonetheless, "Big D" took good care of us and insured a very safe ride. We still highly recommend the tour and enjoyed our time very much. It was a beautiful morning to go on a Segwey tour, which is the best time of day for photos, and also there are less vehicles and traffic in the park. "Big D" is a great photographer, and took great photos of our family on the tour. Next time, we'll try the more advanced segwey tour but we don't have a single regret about the Juniper Loop tour!

Having taken a few segway tours, we decided to take some out of town visitors on this tour of the Garden. The guide(s) were very nice, but for the money I'd recommend just driving there early in the morning and walking one of the loops. We mostly traveled on the side of the road dodging cars and managing the heat. At $90 plus tip, pricey for the hour you're actually on the road for the Juniper Loop.
