TC was great. He is knowledgeable and extremely proud of his home, Savannah. He gave us wonderful personal details about living in Savannah with his family. The personal touch was great. I'm not a history buff and felt that the historical information provided was perfect for my average level of knowledge. He talked about Savannah and Georgia's origination, growth years as a port and slave state, and quite a bit about General Sherman's march through Georgia to end the Civil war. The presentation shifted from Civil War talk to how Savannah has changed with notoriety of Forrest Gump and Midnight at the Garden of Good and Evil. I'm now reading the book. The provided ear-buds and listening devices made it easy for all of us to hear him without him having to shout. This was a big plus and meant we didn't need to crowd around him all of the time. The pictures on the ipad were also a big plus. With all the talk of the Civil War, how Savannah was spared burning, and how it flourishes today, it would also be good to hear about where Savannah is going in the future. Has it and will it migrate to an international cosmopolitan, equality for all city or remain in the shadows of because of the ilk like Jim Williams still facilitating small town control?

Thoroughly enjoyed TC and this tour. The overall experience was excellent and gave us an understanding of Savannahā€™s history, culture, geography, and folklore while soaking up the lush green historical town squares and tree lined streets. Highly recommend and would do it again.
