Germaine's Luau

Overview

The highlight of the show is the Samoan Fire-knife dance, known as the "Tooth of Death". In the original interpretation, this dance was performed with a dangerously sharp blade.

The story behind the dance is of a Samoan chief making a movie for Hollywood many years ago. He decided to include the flaming torch in his part to make the dance more spectacular.

The show also includes the energetic Samoan Slap Dance, a traditional display of male prowess. True to the name, the dancers slap their chests, arms and legs repeatedly throughout this segment. For Samoan men, this was an opportunity to demonstrate their bravery and courage.

Wheelchair accessible - collapsible wheelchairs preferred
Most surfaces are wheelchair accessible, since we do have ramps to the Bar, the Restrooms, and the Ohana Gift Shop, and outside surfaces of the luau have harder sand
Motorized wheelchairs are allowed in most areas, however, Germaine's Luau will not be responsible for any damages to the electric mechanism for the chair due to sand, as our luau is on a private beachfront property.

Germaines came highly recommended and they delivered. The staff are amazing, show performers fabulous, and the food was plentiful and delicious. If ever you visit the island definitely give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

The fire dance was the best part.Most folks have not had pork from hog cooked in the ground...I have more then once...I'm farm boy...I never saw the hog removed from the ground...I speculate...but the pork was moist...rest of the food...was...okay...go to Golden Corral...you will get better food,..I won't even talk about the beef...over priced.show..unless you have to have Luau...to mark off your bucket list...save your money..if you do go...take some BBQ sauce with you...the drink ticket...don't get it...drink the free beverage.this place is way out from the city...industrial section...you can see the USS Arizona...and cruise ships if not to dark..
