Johnson Square

Nathaniel Green's monument stands in the center of the square. At his death, his wife Caty found herself facing financial ruin. Discover how she fought congress for her money owed to Nathaniel, how she cleared his name. Most importantly, what impact did she have on the Cotton Gin. Who really invented the Cotton Gin? You will also learn about Mary Musgrove, the Trading Post owner who used her mixed race to her advantage and rose above all adversities, becoming the wealthiest land owner in Georgia.

Telfair Academy

We will discuss the Telfair Family, with a focus on Mary Telfair and how she impacted Savannah, GA.

Wright Square

Known as the Hanging Square, discover who Alice Riley was and why she was hanged here in Wright Square, making her the first woman hanged in the state of Georgia.

Juliette Gordon Low's Birthplace

Learn about the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts. You will hear about here life and how she came to start the Girl Scouts.

Harper Fowlkes House

Your guide will explain how Alida Harper bought this house from the court house steps, during a time when 'women didn't buy property'. Alida restored this house herself. She was a forerunner in the preservation of historic Savannah.

The ladies were a hoot! They were very knowledgable and the sites were beautiful! I really liked the quick stop at a local restaurant during the tour too!
