This was a long day and not very interesting. Our kids did not enjoy this. There was a lot of time on the road. They did not gain much insight. Would look at other options in the future.

The glacier up close was cool. We did this trip on an Alaska Railroad tour package. We were told rain gear and boots are provided. Not true, just boots. We asked about the gear and they knew nothing about it. We said we did not want to get wet and they said it was unlikely that we would. At the raft we asked to sit where we would not get so wet and our guide Maddie, sat us in the very front. Maddie was new and not ver informative. On the first rapid she rowed right through the highest peak and we got soaked. It was so cold and the rest of the float was misery. We were only maybe a half hour in and had the remainder of the float to be miserable. Our guide didn’t point out any areas of interests and did not know much about the glacier. This is one adventure I would not repeat. ARR could have given us better info on the rain gear. Because they said it would be loaned to us, we did not take any of our own.

It was everything we asked for and more. The lake and glacier were amazing. The snacks and lunches were delicious. Our guides were fabulous. It was impressively organized and a full day.
