GLOW Stand Up Paddle at Twilight

Overview

Just before sunset your adventure begins. After a brief lesson on land, we head into the bay to learn tips and techniques of stand up paddling. Your experience will mostly take place in a calm bay, and one of the best places on the North Shore to experience a Hawaiian sunset - and you get to do see it while you're walking on water!

This is a great chance to sight Green Hawaiian Sea Turtles as they travel back to the river. As the sun fades into the horizon, your board creates a halo of light that illuminates the ocean floor. Enjoy the peacefulness of the water during twilight and as stars begin to shine overhead. It's a perfect mix of fun and zen!

All our instructors are certified lifeguards, super friendly, and highly trained to give you an awesome experience on the water.We are Oahu's oldest running stand up paddle school - 11 years and loving it! What an experience! Our family of 6, with college-aged kids found this to be the highlight of our trip. It is a must-do on the North Shore! Michael and Melody were the perfect guides for our excursion--kind, supportive, friendly, and informative. We were lucky enough to see many sea turtles, and we paddled on the night that Jupiter and Saturn were very visible and right next to each other. How peaceful it was to view the night sky on the water from our backs. Michael captured some amazing shots of our family, especially at sunset. We will treasure those images and the memories for years to come. Thank you Rainbow Watersports!

Great experience in COVID times. I booked a private lesson and really appreciated the history, tips, and aloha vibes! We saw so many turtles on my paddle (over 7) and a fish even jumped on my board!

Our 32nd wedding anniversary and it was one magical experience. Our guide, Christianna, was amazing. We loved every minute of it. I will defiantly make this an event to do when we return! Thank you Rainbow Watersports!
