Golden Gate Bridge Bike Tour

Overview

Explore San Francisco - the City by the Bay with its rolling hills and never ending water views- with Unlimited Biking on a beautiful bike ride along the city's stunning waterfront, across the Golden Gate Bridge, towards the quaint coastal community of Sausalito.

Tours depart daily at 10am from Unlimited Biking's storefront on 757 Beach Street, at the foot of Ghirardelli Square and last for three hours. To ensure a personalized guest experience, each tour will be held in a small-group format of no more than 15 guests.

After departing from Ghirardelli Square at the western end of Fisherman's wharf, guests will bike through the green hillside of Fort Mason, the Marina District, through Crissy Fields, up to and across the Golden Gate Bridge, and then down the Marin Headlands into Sausalito.

There, guests can either stay to explore Sausalito on their own, or take the ferry back to San Francisco.

Guests on this small-group bike tour will be fitted with high quality Cannondale bikes.

The bike shop made it easy for us to upgrade our bikes to an electric one. Highly recommended given the steep hills in some spots of the tour. The tour guide, Brian, was very accommodating and informative. We felt very much at ease with him . He has an excellent engaging demeanor . Ask for Brian! Would do it again.

My husband and I are both senior citizens and we very much enjoyed the bike tour. Our guide, John, was one of the best guides I’ve ever had. It was a gorgeous day in both San Fran and Sausalito. We rode to Sausalito and took the ferry back to Pier 41. My advice to others Is to get in line for the 4:30 ferry no later than 3:00 as the line was so long we missed that ferry and had to take the next one. It seems everyone wanted the 4:30 return ferry.

This tour was the highlight of our trip! Our guide John was friendly and so knowledgeable about EVERYTHING! My husband and I rented the regular bikes and enjoyed the almost 10 mile ride immensely. The pace was adapted as needed. Just for reference, we are early 60s and just ride bikes for fun- so don’t hesitate if you are worried about it being too rigorous, I actually walked up the two hills that were too hard for me. We then enjoyed a nice pizza lunch at Venice cafe in Sausalito, followed by ice cream at Lappert’s, and a Ferry ride back to San Francisco.
