If you take a tour guide with you to show you and your group the island it is so much more fun! We are outside the whole time, so we will be distanced; but we will be riding in the vehicle at closer contact then 6ft. Guides are vaccinated but will wear masks by guest request, during travel time. If guests are not vaccinated, masks required during travel times.

What To Expect

Glacial Grooves State Memorial

Our experienced guides will share this island treasure with you and your party. These grooves are said to be the biggest area of exposed glacial grooving in North America.

Kelleys Island State Park

We will explore some of the ruins of the limestone quarry making days of the late 1800's and early 1900's. View the beautiful beach and the vistas from the north bay area of Kelleys Island. Then we will explore the Alvar habitat on the North shore, discovering glacial erratics and fossils

Kelleys Island

While we drive from the Glacial grooves and through and around the State Park, we will also be traveling around dome of the island. The tour guide will share some of the history of the houses and island during travel time as well, to and from the history museum.

Kelleys Island State Park

Old abandoned quarries have been purchased by the state and have become beautifully preserved park land. East quarry has a small lake that is easily accessible for viewing. Fossils hunting is a must on KI and you will find them here for sure.

Kelleys Island Historical Association

We start and stop here at the museum parking lot. We don't include this in our tour but if the museum is open it is worth the visit. (the fee is nominal)
