I did the helicopter tour and landing inside the Grand Canyon. They pick you up from the hotel in a large shuttle bus. There was only 4 others and the bus sat like 12. Lots of room for social distancing. Masks required both on the bus, in the terminal, and on the helicopter. Upon arrival within just a few minutes they put you in groups. A quick safety overview before they load you in the helicopter. They have music to entertain you during the ride and you can talk through the headsets. The views begin almost immediately. Great narration on the flight over by the pilot. Drive by the Hoover Dam, lots of views of Lake Mead. You land in a private area inside the Grand Canyon. Snacks, champagne, water, soft drinks provided. Picnic tables and shade are available. You're high up on a ridge of some sort so there isn't much room to explore or walk around, but the views are breathtaking. Then on the way back they rotate seating positions to give everyone a fair view. There is a brief 5 minute or so stop for gas. Again you rotate seat positions. Then on the return flight you fly right over the Strip.
As far as the helicopter it is a comfortable ride. I am 6'4" and was more comfortable than a typical coach seat in an airplane. It is a tight fit. I was able to bring my DSLR camera bag on board. The ride was very smooth. This was my first time ever in a helicopter so I had no idea what to expect. Highly recommend taking a helicopter tour because you see so much more of the Grand Canyon that can't be seen if you drive or take a bus tour.
