Would like to express our thanks to all at Maverick. From the ease of booking and online chat available to clarify things, to the professionalism from the pick up to the drop off. An absolutely amazing trip - would have no hesitation recommending this tour 100% - It was booked as a 21st birthday present for my daughter and will go down as one of our most treasured memories - thanks to all at Maverick for an amazing day.

Well the excitement was in the air as we booked our flight with a helicopter to the Grand Canyon WOW but there’s a catch or maybe a few catches , first of all there’s room for 8 in that helicopter one pilot on the left in the front and three passengers on the right and in the rear room for four ( tight) the problem is the price is all the same either you sit on the side with the view or in the middle where there’s very limited views, we’ll i ended up in the middle between two big guys , so those on the window had spectacular views I did not , and the helicopter only flew over the Canyon on the way there but not on the way back , I did get a window seat on the way back but not the same , still a good experience to fly in a helicopter The second little problem is that when you go to the glass lookout you cannot take you’re camera 📷 because it is forbidden on the walkway THEY are the only ones allowed to take the pictures but you can take pictures along the Canyon The Restaurant food is ok but pretty expensive In my view about the whole experience Rent a car and visit the Grand Canyon you’re self bring a pick nick basket and you should have a amazing day Save helicopter ride for the tour over the city and surrounding mountains

We at Maverick Helicopters make safety our top priority, and while I understand and empathize with your frustration in regards to the seating situation, we have to be very careful to properly balance the helicopter, and all seating arrangements reflect that. The Grand Canyon West is owned and operated by the Hualapai Tribe and does get very busy as it accommodates a multitude of helicopter, airplane, bus, and jeep tours daily. We do offer alternate Grand Canyon tours that visit our private landing site at the West Rim for a longer period of time as well as tours that depart to the Grand Canyon National Park. We certainly appreciate our customer’s taking the time to share feedback good or bad, so thank you for your honesty and taking the time to write this review.

I had asked a few friends, and read all the online reviews: Maverick was the company that stood out. My primary feature is safety. And they were very safe. I didn't question that at any point. My second feature was group size. We had 6 and I never felt crowded. We rotated seats so everyone got a chance up front. It was a great, fun tour. Just the right amount of time. I always worry about needing to pee and I was easily able to get through the whole tour without needing to worry about a toilet (that may seem that TMI for some people but for fellow small bladder folk, this comment will be appreciated). We stopped for a snack/picnic at one point. There were plenty of beverage options. I am celiac / gluten free , as was someone else on the tour and we didn't feel food excluded (As I often do). (I don't recall the food but it was fine.) Great chance for amazing photos. And from the air, we saw animals. Our guide was : JARED. He was perfect. Knew how to read the audience well. He flew the helicopter very steady , so a very low risk of motion sickness, even when it started to rain. He could read the area and avoid windy spots since he knows it so well. He pointed out all sorts of things and was very knowledgable about the area. And when there wasn't anything else "tour guide" style to talk about, he chats along so well. We all had headphones and could chat within the group easily when flying. It was nice.
