Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 300 lbs (136 kg or 21 stone) will be required to purchase an additional seat. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.
The total combined passenger weight (including pilot) cannot exceed 1240lbs (563kg)
There is a maximum capacity of seven (7) people per helicopter, plus your pilot.

What To Expect

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon from the air and ground on this helicopter tour from Las Vegas. After being picked up from your hotel approx 90 minutes prior to the flight time listed, you'll be driven to the heliport where you’ll board your air-conditioned Eco-Star helicopter. On your way to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, soar over Lake Las Vegas and Lake Mead.

Hoover Dam

As you fly over the Hoover Dam, you'll be left in awe at this particularly spectacular sight from the air, curved between the rock canyon walls. Marvel at this architectural wonder and enjoy the amazing views of the recently built bypass bridge. During your flight, you can listen to a recorded commentary about the Grand Canyon and its surrounds via headphones.

Grand Canyon West

As you reach the Grand Canyon and fly deeper and further into the canyon than any other helicopter tour, land on a private bluff overlooking the flowing Colorado River. From this incredible perch over 3,000 feet below the canyon rim, toast to your experience with a glass of Champagne and a light snack. While you celebrate and relax under an authentic Native American ramada shelter, your pilot will be happy to answer any questions you have about the canyon or your helicopter flight.

The Strip

Back in the helicopter, enjoy another 45-minute flight back to Las Vegas, this time flying over the world famous Strip. When you land, your transportation will be waiting to whisk you back to your hotel. Please note: Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older will be required to show photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

When my husband and I planned our Vegas trip, one of the main reasons was to do a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. This was our 4th visit to Vegas and we had been wanting to book a helicopter. We were staying at the Bellagio, and if you are staying at an MGM property, you do get a discount. We saved about $100 and did the Wind Dancer tour which they said is the most popular. While flying over the Grand Canyon was a beautiful sight and landing there was neat, the entire flight from the moment we left the airport til we returned was amazing. It was so interesting seeing the Vegas area - and flying over Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. It's about a 40-minute flight to the Canyon, you land for about 30 minutes, then fly for a quick refueling (about 20-minute flight), then over the strip and to the airport (about another 30-40 minutes). And for each leg of the trip, you rotate seating so everyone can get a chance in the front. But really the views from the back are terrific as well. What's cool about sitting in the front is you feel you are flying the helicopter. Brent was our pilot and he was great! And had an awesome classic rock playlist. We are so glad we did it and highly recommend!!

My son and I had a great experience to the Grand canyon with Maverick Helicopters. We only had 4 passengers on board and were able to sit in the front row - what a sight and view from the Hoover Dam, Lake Las Vegas ,Grand Canyon and other outlying areas. A thorough commentary was given and the pilot (Brent) and answered all our questions in detail. We had a Champagne morning tea which was a nice treat as well as fabulous views of the canyon surrounds. We flew back down the Vegas strip which was fun. All up it was 4 hours and a luxury pick up and drop off to our hotel on the strip. I would recommend this to everyone
