Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 300 lbs (136 kg or 21 stone) will be required to purchase an additional seat. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.
The total combined passenger weight (including pilot) cannot exceed 1240lbs (563kg)

What To Expect

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon from the air and ground on this helicopter tour from Las Vegas. After being picked up from your hotel approx 90 minutes prior to the flight time listed, you'll be driven to the heliport where you’ll board your air-conditioned Eco-Star helicopter. On your way to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, soar over Lake Las Vegas and Lake Mead.

Hoover Dam

As you fly over the Hoover Dam, you'll be left in awe at this particularly spectacular sight from the air, curved between the rock canyon walls. Marvel at this architectural wonder and enjoy the amazing views of the recently built bypass bridge. During your flight, you can listen to a recorded commentary about the Grand Canyon and its surrounds via headphones.

Grand Canyon West

As you reach the Grand Canyon and fly deeper and further into the canyon than any other helicopter tour, land on a private bluff overlooking the flowing Colorado River. From this incredible perch over 3,000 feet below the canyon rim, toast to your experience with a glass of Champagne and a light snack. While you celebrate and relax under an authentic Native American ramada shelter, your pilot will be happy to answer any questions you have about the canyon or your helicopter flight.

The Strip

Back in the helicopter, enjoy another 45-minute flight back to Las Vegas, this time flying over the world famous Strip. When you land, your transportation will be waiting to whisk you back to your hotel. Please note: Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older will be required to show photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

Maverick Helicopters was the absolute best choice we made while in Las Vegas for my birthday! The Grand Canyon helicopter tour offered spectacular views. From pickup to drop off at our hotel, this entire experience was so memorable and incomparable to anything I have ever done! Our pilot, AJ, was knowledgeable and friendly. He oversaw and ensured our safety for the entirety of our trip. He quickly jumped in to stop a patron from lighting a cigarette while at the fuel stop, most likely saving us all from a very nasty ending! AJ was always on the lookout for us while appearing relaxed and offering Las Vegas/Nevada history coupled with laughs and jokes. I highly recommend taking this trip if you ever get the chance! I look forward to coming back and taking another tour with Maverick soon!

As par of our honeymoon my husband and I did the helicopter tour over the Hoover Dam, out and out to the Grand Canyon. We were promptly picked up from our hotel at the agreed time and taken out to Maverick's Headquarters where we checked in and met our pilot. There was 6 passengers on our tour and we all got a turn to sit in the front. My husband and I got to be in the front first and got to experience the take off and the view over Vegas, over the Hoover Dam and out to land in the Grand Canyon. We had stayed the night previously and the tour only just takes you into the Grand Canyon. When we landed we had champagne and a snack box. We had about 30 minutes to take in and enjoy the scenery around us. We then got back into the helicopter and flew to a refuelling location and then flew back into Vegas. I highly recommend this tour but would recommend actually going and staying in the Grand Canyon so that you get a better feel and experience of it too. We purchased our tickets online through their website, but discovered after that there is a Maverick stall on the strip and other ticket places as well that offer cheaper tickets than what we paid. Slightly annoying when we purchased directly through Maverick.

Great excursion from Las Vegas. The helicopter ride was smooth. I had never flown in a helicopter before and was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't scared. I typically have a fear of heights but felt completely safe. Our trip was 3 adult couples. The pilot was wonderful, informative and nice. Each couple had an opportunity to sit in the front of the helicopter. We landed in the canyon and had a boxed snack and champagne. I would recommend the Wind Dancer tour. A bus picked us up at the hotel and was on time without any issues. I read safety ratings of several of the helicopter tours out of Las Vegas and was most impressed with Maverick.
