Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 300 lbs (136 kg or 21 stone) will be required to purchase an additional seat. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.
The total combined passenger weight (including pilot) cannot exceed 1240lbs (563kg)
There is a maximum capacity of seven (7) people per helicopter, plus your pilot.

What To Expect

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon from the air and ground on this helicopter tour from Las Vegas. After being picked up from your hotel approx 90 minutes prior to the flight time listed, you'll be driven to the heliport where you’ll board your air-conditioned Eco-Star helicopter. On your way to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, soar over Lake Las Vegas and Lake Mead.

Hoover Dam

As you fly over the Hoover Dam, you'll be left in awe at this particularly spectacular sight from the air, curved between the rock canyon walls. Marvel at this architectural wonder and enjoy the amazing views of the recently built bypass bridge. During your flight, you can listen to a recorded commentary about the Grand Canyon and its surrounds via headphones.

Grand Canyon West

As you reach the Grand Canyon and fly deeper and further into the canyon than any other helicopter tour, land on a private bluff overlooking the flowing Colorado River. From this incredible perch over 3,000 feet below the canyon rim, toast to your experience with a glass of Champagne and a light snack. While you celebrate and relax under an authentic Native American ramada shelter, your pilot will be happy to answer any questions you have about the canyon or your helicopter flight.

The Strip

Back in the helicopter, enjoy another 45-minute flight back to Las Vegas, this time flying over the world famous Strip. When you land, your transportation will be waiting to whisk you back to your hotel. Please note: Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older will be required to show photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

6 friends from Ireland (ages from 30's to mid 40's) booked with Maverick Helicopters in late November 2018 to have their Deluxe tour to the Grand Canyon, our pilot was John and he was superb, his choice of music from takeoff to landing was exceptional, timing is everything! He was funny, very informative of the sights and a real nice guy. The whole experience wasn't rushed, exceptionally enjoyable and spectacular views of the Hoover Dam, the Colorado river and of course flying through the Canyon was exceptional. I would like to thank everyone at Maverick from the original booking crew online to the staff at checkin and of course John our comedian pilot, for making the experience so memorable. Look guys, it is not the cheapest option, but I cannot tell you how worth the money it was, Maverick have an impeccable safety record, which weights large for a person concerned about heights, like me! Was in Vegas for a conference and we were planning to rent a car to drive out to Hoover Dam + Canyon for the weekend, but opted for a helicopter tour instead - no regrets. Sure, slight bump in cost, but we got almost 2 days of our lives back, and we were able to see the landmarks from a far better perspective. Our pilot, Miguel, was great - answering questions and providing color along the route in an entertaining way. Highly recommend their tour!

Our family of 8 (ages 14-75) LOVED our first helicopter experience (split between 2 helicopters, same landing site in Canyon). Chase was our pilot. The helicopters are floor to ceiling windows, enabling incredible views, pictures, videos. I sat back middle on all segments and still had wonderful views. Most people switched front to back after the Grand Canyon landing. Sitting in the front on the 1st segment is preferable as this is when you see the Hoover Dam. A pre-recorded narration on your headset gives facts and history of the Dam, Canyon, and area towns. But at anytime, Chase was more than willing to answer questions and accommodate requests. As you crested ridges or entered canyons, splendid panoramas would be revealed. Overall the flight was extremely smooth. One of our party was nervous and considered cancelling. She ended up sitting front and center, LOVED the experience, and can't wait to do another helicopter tour!
