Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 300 lbs (136 kg or 21 stone) will be required to purchase an additional seat. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.
The total combined passenger weight (including pilot) cannot exceed 1240lbs (563kg)
There is a maximum capacity of seven (7) people per helicopter, plus your pilot.

What To Expect

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon from the air and ground on this helicopter tour from Las Vegas. After being picked up from your hotel approx 90 minutes prior to the flight time listed, you'll be driven to the heliport where you’ll board your air-conditioned Eco-Star helicopter. On your way to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, soar over Lake Las Vegas and Lake Mead.

Hoover Dam

As you fly over the Hoover Dam, you'll be left in awe at this particularly spectacular sight from the air, curved between the rock canyon walls. Marvel at this architectural wonder and enjoy the amazing views of the recently built bypass bridge. During your flight, you can listen to a recorded commentary about the Grand Canyon and its surrounds via headphones.

Grand Canyon West

As you reach the Grand Canyon and fly deeper and further into the canyon than any other helicopter tour, land on a private bluff overlooking the flowing Colorado River. From this incredible perch over 3,000 feet below the canyon rim, toast to your experience with a glass of Champagne and a light snack. While you celebrate and relax under an authentic Native American ramada shelter, your pilot will be happy to answer any questions you have about the canyon or your helicopter flight.

The Strip

Back in the helicopter, enjoy another 45-minute flight back to Las Vegas, this time flying over the world famous Strip. When you land, your transportation will be waiting to whisk you back to your hotel. Please note: Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older will be required to show photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

Very happy with our Maverick Helicopter experience Los Vegas to Grand Canyon return. From the on-time early morning pick-up, booking in, pre-flight safety instructions, and return trip to our hotel, all was done in a thoroughly courteous and professional manner. Then the flight out over Lake Mead, past Hoover Dam and onto the Grand Canyon, landing half way down to the river for refreshments and snacks. Our pilot (Aaron) was amazing, an excellent pilot that kept us informed with so much knowledge of the area and surrounds mixed with cheerful chit-chat. Being ex US military and still with the utmost precision and professionalism one expects, made us feel safe and comfortable. Having landed at the Canyon and then for refueling on the return flight allowed all three groups of two to occupy the front seats, which is a good concept. Our 4 hour experience was calculated from p/up to return so I wish we were aware of this on booking (from Australia) as we probably would have opted for a longer, more air time option. This is truly a must do in Las Vegas and most definitely with this very professional outfit, strongly recommended!

Pick up from our Vegas Hotel by Maverick Helicopter 7:30 am. Checked in to Maverick Vegas airport. "Key".....Do not get fooled and book a trip with another company that flies out of Boulder City, you will waste a lot of your time travelling back and forth to the Boulder City airport. Flight started on time at 9 am. There were 7 seats in the helicopter, all with fabulous open views of Lake Mead, Boulder Dam the surrounding mountains and valleys, flight over Vegas. When the helicopter stops, people change seats, everyone gets to sit up front with pilot. I suggest book the trip that stops in the bottom of canyon for a brief lunch with breath taking views of the canyon above and Colorado river. Fingers are sore from all the picture taking.

Superb. Not the cheapest option by any means but we got over 2 hours in the air and a memorable, fantastic experience for my wife's 50th birthday that we'll both never forget. From the booking to being collected from our hotel, first class service. Then from arrival at the heliport through to the flight itself, faultless. Piloted by an uber cool pilot, we took in all the sites of the strip, Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. Would I recommend? 100% yes and with everything in life, the cheapest option isn't always the best and we were very happy with everything Maverick offered from start to finish. Fantastic!
