Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 300 lbs (136 kg or 21 stone) will be required to purchase an additional seat. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.
The total combined passenger weight (including pilot) cannot exceed 1240lbs (563kg)
There is a maximum capacity of seven (7) people per helicopter, plus your pilot.

What To Expect

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon from the air and ground on this helicopter tour from Las Vegas. After being picked up from your hotel approx 90 minutes prior to the flight time listed, you'll be driven to the heliport where you’ll board your air-conditioned Eco-Star helicopter. On your way to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, soar over Lake Las Vegas and Lake Mead.

Hoover Dam

As you fly over the Hoover Dam, you'll be left in awe at this particularly spectacular sight from the air, curved between the rock canyon walls. Marvel at this architectural wonder and enjoy the amazing views of the recently built bypass bridge. During your flight, you can listen to a recorded commentary about the Grand Canyon and its surrounds via headphones.

Grand Canyon West

As you reach the Grand Canyon and fly deeper and further into the canyon than any other helicopter tour, land on a private bluff overlooking the flowing Colorado River. From this incredible perch over 3,000 feet below the canyon rim, toast to your experience with a glass of Champagne and a light snack. While you celebrate and relax under an authentic Native American ramada shelter, your pilot will be happy to answer any questions you have about the canyon or your helicopter flight.

The Strip

Back in the helicopter, enjoy another 45-minute flight back to Las Vegas, this time flying over the world famous Strip. When you land, your transportation will be waiting to whisk you back to your hotel. Please note: Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older will be required to show photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

Total waste of money! We booked direct through their 0800. The lady offered me $389 per person deal to land in the Canyon with a picnic. In NZ this amounts to a huge lot of money so the trip was a big deal for us and we had done a lot of reading reviews etc. After the 20 min ride in a bus with no AC already sweating we arrived at a rather flash terminal. Got organised into groups. There were loads of groups coming and going. We took off in one of three choppers. Our guy was nice and showed us safety stuff etc. the flight there was great. Got to the Canyon dropped down and then he suddenly said “Well sorry folks looks like it’s too hot to land” flew for another 5 mins in the Canyon if that and whipped back out. Stopped at a gas refill spot for 5 mins where he offered drinks but no time for snacks or champagne! Then back to the terminal. Where they offered a $15 per person refund! No where had they said we might not be able to land due to high temperatures! Felt completely ripped off! Text the manager Kevin Farmer to review our flight... he didn’t even reply! Thanks Maverick Helicopters for the biggest disappointment in Loss Vegas!!! Has anyone else had this happen??

The scenic flight was the best way to see the Grand Canyon! The pilot was insightful, guiding us through the history and it only took 3 hrs rather than an 8hr bus trip!

We did the Wind Dancer flight which lands for a Champagne toast in the Grand Canyon. The entire experience was perfect, from the comfortable air conditioned transfers to and from our hotel to the exhilarating flight over the Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon and the Vegas Strip. Our pilot Hank was charming and friendly and made us feel completely safe on what was our first ever helicopter ride. He also treats you to some great music over your headphones which make the perfect soundtrack to your flight! Amazing experience and breathtaking views!
