Grand Canyon Full Day Hike

Overview
Currently the Park is not allowing us to mix groups due to COVID, so we are unable to provide this tour for less than 4 people. If you have a smaller group, please reach out to our company directly to discuss other options. This Hike can be enjoyed by guests who are fit and active. We start with an introductory viewpoint, and then into the Canyon for a fully-narrated day on the trail. Guides share their intimate knowledge of local geology, flora, fauna, biology, and history. Trail selection depends on the physical ability of the small group. Available trails: South Kaibab, Hermit, Bright Angel, or Grandview Trail.

We strive to provide everything you need to have a great day hiking. This includes lunch, snacks, water & beverages, and gear such as hiking poles, backpacks, and micro-spikes (when icy). We include transportation from all hotels, hostels, campgrounds, and many Air B&Bs in Flagstaff, Williams, Tusayan, and Grand Canyon. Pickup and drop-off times depend on your stay place!

The Canyon is extremely picturesque and is something everyone needs to see before they die. Not only does ASGCT allow tourists to soak in the beauty of the canyon, but also to enjoy a challenging hike up and down the Grand Canyon. The South Kaibab Trail, what we hiked, was adventurous and fun, but a bit challenging! Anyone can do it however if they set their mind to it and itā€™s extremely rewarding once complete. An interesting thing to note is that going up the hike is significantly easier than going down. Going down you have to fight gravity and make sure you donā€™t fall down the canyon, while going up is much easier not only to hike, but also to take in the breathtaking view of the Grand Canyon. The tour guides are also super nice, and by the end, youā€™re sure to make a new friend. Our guide, Andrew, was extremely experienced, knowledgeable, passionate, and just a fun human being to be around. He gave us all professional hiking gear and made us all feel like professional hikers, and set up a picnic that made for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, which was eating lunch in the midst of the extremely deep canyon. A must-do for sure if youā€™re visiting Arizona or even southwestern USA.

We went on a day hike with Kevin along the South Kaibab trail last week, and it was outstanding! The weather was a little iffy (cold, windy and snow coming in), and Kevin was prepared and had everything we might want/need and was a safe guide. Kevin was responsive to the level of adventure (high) my family wanted to experience (4 of us ages 14-early 50s). Keven was upbeat, excited to be with us and show us some of his favorite parts of the Grand Canyon. He's very knowledgeable about the ecology and geography of the area (beyond the Canyon as well), and he shared the information in a way that was engaging, easy to understand and it was obvious he does a lot of research on his own time and through his own experiences. The trail snacks and lunch were also outstanding -- especially Ben's pasta salad. This was one of best guided hikes my family and I have been on, and the bar is high for future ones. Would love to come back and join a backcountry/multi-day hike with Kevin specifically - and/or any of the All Star Grand Canyon Tour guides.

We had a day to remember! Andrew was the most fantastic guide. He was informative and fun and super with our teenage girls too. We learned a lot about the Canyon and experienced it to the fullest through an amazing hike down and back up and a terrific picnic lunch Andrew set up for us along the way. Highly recommend All Star and request Andrew as your guide as you wonā€™t be disappointed!
