Grand Canyon Full Day Hike

Overview

Currently the Park is not allowing us to mix groups due to COVID, so we are unable to provide this tour for less than 4 people. If you have a smaller group, please reach out to our company directly to discuss other options. This Hike can be enjoyed by guests who are fit and active. We start with an introductory viewpoint, and then into the Canyon for a fully-narrated day on the trail. Guides share their intimate knowledge of local geology, flora, fauna, biology, and history. Trail selection depends on the physical ability of the small group. Available trails: South Kaibab, Hermit, Bright Angel, or Grandview Trail.

We strive to provide everything you need to have a great day hiking. This includes lunch, snacks, water & beverages, and gear such as hiking poles, backpacks, and micro-spikes (when icy). We include transportation from all hotels, hostels, campgrounds, and many Air B&Bs in Flagstaff, Williams, Tusayan, and Grand Canyon. Pickup and drop-off times depend on your stay place!

The views were spectacular. The hike was very challenging. The heat was intense. The was the last major excursion of our summer trip. We finished with a bang!

This was fantastic! In every possible way. And we couldn't have been happier with our tour guide, Donnie. It was like having a long-time family friend taking you through the canyon and showing you everything you need to see. How knowledge of the canyon's history, geology, wildlife, the ecosystem - outstanding. Only other tour guide we had with as much knowledge was at the Vatican when our guide was an art history doctoral candidate. Donnie was fantastic, engaging, really connected with all of us and just showed us a fantastic time. He took us on a three hour hike into the canyon and allowed us to determine what we were comfortable and capable of - making sure to just give guidance on the realities of the difficulty and time. He took us to a trail that was not very frequented, but which gave us a real feel for the canyon and required some actual physical capabilities. We saw a great deal of wildlife, including Elk, mountain sheep, condors, snakes, and ravens. The meals were fantastic as well. We couldn't have been more pleased with the company and our guide. We were a family of four, kids 10 & 14.

So glad I booked this tour! I'm really (really) not a fan of heights so figured I'd let someone else take us into the Grand Canyon. Best decision ever! All Star Grand Canyon set us up right, and Jason made the day awesome! The kids (17, 17 and 21) and I spent a full day with Jason showing us where, how and why the GC is so special. He totally respected when I needed to pull back from the group while they went on to more adventurous spots. The trip would not have been nearly as amazing without him and the care put into our goodies by All Star. We learned a ton, saw so many places we'd never have known to go, and we just generally enjoyed Jason's company. Highly recommend!
