Very welcoming upon arrival and a couple of nice guys to pilot the aircraft. The in-flight info was not relevant to this specific flight and gave general info about the grand canyon. I would have liked to know about which parts exactly of the canyon we were flying over. The flight was very bumpy indeed and a couple of people threw up when we got back to the terminal. Great once in a lifetime experience though.

I found this experience very disappointing. Seating aboard the helicopter is determined by your weight. If you are on the right side of the helicopter you will get a good view. I sat at the back on the left with my wife sat in the middle at the back. She got a very obstructed view throughout. Because the light was shining mainly from left to right when we saw the best view of the canyon lit up I was not able to get a good view of the red/pink rock. The pilot did not take the helicopter round so that we could see the pretty rocks and at the end of the flight I felt rather cheated. The cost was $309 per person and it is pot-luck where you are allocated and if you are unlucky as we were you may also be thoroughly disappointed by the experience.

We offer our apologies that the allocated seating left you dissatisfied. Seating is allocated by the weight and balance calculations of the aircraft; most guests find our seating comfortable with good views as we only fly helicopters designed specifically for sightseeing. We feel badly that this wasn't your experience. Our company also offers front seat upgrades for our guests who wish to sit up front, so long as the weight and balance calculations work out. Respectfully, Papillon Management

Flight was a little less than 45 minutes, and the time it takes from the airport to the canyon and back to the airport deduct from the time over the canyon, but let's not be greedy. There was plenty of time to take loads of pictures and videos. I didn't listen to the provided narration, just enjoyed the plane engine noise and the view. This was a very positive experience from the time of making the purchase to the people in the office at the airport, the pilots and of course, the view. I can cross off one of the items on my bucket list.
