What To Expect

Oak Creek Canyon

Travel through scenic Oak Creek Canyon, voted one of the most beautiful roads in America, along murmuring Oak Creek and below towering cliffs on our way to the top of the Colorado Plateau. (Sedona pickups only)

San Francisco Peaks

View Arizona´s tallest mountain at 12,633 feet, an ancient volcano that is snow-covered in the winter, as we drive past Flagstaff though a vast Ponderosa pine forest.

Grand Canyon South Rim

Hike down the Bright Angel or South Kaibab trail on a rugged but well-maintained path with a certified and experienced guide. Enjoy a snack at an overlook approximately 1.5 miles from the trail head, then hike back up to the rim and claim bragging rights for hiking the Grand Canyon.

Grand Canyon South Rim

Enjoy a well-earned four-star lunch at the historic El Tovar lodge on the Canyon´s rim.

Sedona

We return to Sedona on a drive across the Colorado Plateau, past the San Francisco Peaks and through scenic Oak Creek Canyon, and finally drop you off at your hotel or B&B.

We had a great time visiting the Grand Canyon for the first time with our family! Chris picked us up in Sedona and took us to the Grand Canyon. We opted out of having lunch at the El Tovar, instead getting sandwiches to eat on the way in order to spend more time exploring the Grand Canyon. Chris was very friendly, knowledgeable, and educated us many different pertinent facts along the way. We would definitely recommend this tour with Chris! It was a stress free way of seeing the Grand Canyon with our parents who are 88 and 90 years old. There were 8 of us total in the van and it was very comfortable.

Our one day adventure to the Grand Canyon from Sedona far exceeded my expectations thanks to Nina!! It was an absolutely AMAZING day!! My husband and I were traveling with four of our adult children who are in their early twenties. Nina and I talked prior to our trip to plan the day. She was super knowledgable and attentively took into account the needs and interests of our family. Nina is fun & easy to be with, and was the perfect guide for our adventure. She made the entire day so effortless, exciting and easy. And having the chance to dine at El Tovar was an added and appreciated bonus. All of us would agree that our adventure at the Grand Canyon was the highlight of our trip!

You could not have better guides than Grand Canyon Journeys. Nina was so knowledgeable, professional and kind. It was such an unforgettable experience. I know that we all felt that this was the highlight of our trip. We have spectacular pictures that Nina set up and took to prove it. She is also so patient and caring. Cannot say enough positive remarks about this company and Nina!
