The train can accommodate a motorized scooter if it is no wider than 25 inches. There is a special lift to lift the scooter onto the train.

From boarding until the time you get off is about 3 hours, then you get there and have to wait whereever you eat and have no time after for anything before boarding and going all the way back and nothing exciting to see or do on train, kids were so board...drive yourself and bring your own food and this place is fun, avoid the hype of this train ride, had less than an hour to walk around and no time to hike anywhere...wasted my whole trip to grand canyon, because of this stupid train

Decided to use the train for our first visit to the Grand Canyon and it was a great choice. Friendly staff both onboard and at the stations, traveled coach class, carriage was clean and comfortable. Our attendant, Alexander, was most excellent along with the onboard entertainment. Train drops you right at the Grand Canyon Village where bus tours are available. Return trip was eventful as the train was held up by robbers on horseback!!! Superb entertainment and much nicer than driving. Must do!!!!

The trip was excellent. With teenagers we booked the extra nights in the canyon so we could experience the long Bright Angel Trail. Train ride was fun. Amber Rose was friendly and funny. Food at Grand Canyon hotel was good but the buffet at the Maswick Hotel that was part of the package was terrible.
