So hard to make decisions about the best way to see the Grand Canyon, especially with kids (12,10,8 and two sets of adult friends) After researching online and looking at reviews opted for the Hummer Buck Wild Tour and were VERY glad we did!
We drove in from Phoenix and arrived early to be greeted by Kelly. She help explain where we could grab a local breakfast sandwich without paying an arm and leg and had clean restrooms and a very clean and nice waiting area for us.
She explained they had two tours going out at the same time and when we got back she had us hop into the Hummer and we headed out. I wont share where we went (lets say it was not The touristy spots) but can tell you the views were amazing and it was the right amount of mixture of adventure. Along the way we even saw Elk crossing the road several times.
As a schoolteacher would, Kelly took the time to explain the flora and fauna as well as history about the canyon. Our girls loved it! She even dealt with a 10 year old meltdown like only a pro could!
For us, the amount of time on the tour was perfect. We never felt rushed but also had a busy day sightseeing so we were happy with the 2 hour tour (technically longer since we were not rushed). If you are looking for a great way to see the Canyon and learn along the way, BuckWild is the way to go! Kelly was great and we had so much fun!
