What To Expect

Grand Canyon South Rim

After arriving by bus at the Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim, your tour guide will brief you on the highlights of the Grand Canyon so you can make the most of your time here. You will have three (3) hours of free time to explore this wonder of the world at your own pace. Your deli-style lunch can be taken with you to enjoy at one of the lookout points.

Do you really think that it's a good idea to spend more than 11 hours in the bus and to have less than 3 hours at the place? Once there the bus driver let us do a short unquided hike. There was no other quide. We did the hike under pressure and took photos under pressure because we were afraid that we might return late and miss the bus. People who really want to enjoy the Grand Canyon shouldn't book this trip. This trip can be good be for people who are ok to see it for a couple of hours but note that the Canyon deserves more time!

We got so much more than we expected on this tour. The tour guide was friendly and so informative. You will briefly see Lake Mead and Hoover Dam before heading to the Canyon for 3 hours which was a good amount of time to take in the sights, go for a walk, check out the gift shops/information centre and grab a bite to eat. This tour has plenty of comfort breaks. Considering the cost of a hire car, gas, paying to get into the park, breakfast & lunch - this tour is excellent value for money. But the most priceless thing you will get is the commentary from the best tour guide, Wally! So knowledgeable, we learned so much more than if we had driven ourselves. Thanks Wally & Sweetours.

Although I realized this was a 16 hour venture, I did not realize 13 hours would on the bus in route! Nevertheless, Wally was a wonderful tour guide and I’m glad I can check Grand Canyon off my bucket list.
