Bus arrived on time to pick up at the hotel around 5am. Then transferred into a larger bus at a staging area where we were provided breakfast. Then a trip to the far viewing area of the Hoover dam, followed by a stop on a Route 66 town where we were given sandwich and snack box for lunch. Next drove to west rim where the main attraction was at. At the Grand Canyon, we were given 2 options: 1. about 30-40 mins to explore a Mather point and follow the bus to angels lodge for another 1.5 hour of exploring. Option 2 is for you to hike the rim trail from Mathers point to bright angles lodge. It was too cold to hike that day so we took option 1 and took many pictures. Came back to the hotel around 10pm. All in all a good but long day.

My husband and I recently participated in a Grand Canyon tour from Las Vegas via Sweetours. The pick up was seamless and on time. The tour guide, Wally, was FABULOUS! He shared so much info about Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam, Route 66, the Canyon and more throughout the trip! He ensured that everyone had lunch and water and that we were all as comfortable as possible for the long ride. The Canyon was beautiful and well worth the hours on the bus (even covered in ice!) We are thankful we did this experience and for the information that we learned from Wally; however, we will drive ourselves next time. A bus tour with 54 people requires that everyone be on time - which doesnā€™t happen. Our bus ended up having to wait over an hour for a lost passenger and didnā€™t make it back to Vegas until 11pm. The tour guide did all he could, but these things do happen - unfortunately.

I took my family on the south rim tour that included stops at the Hoover Dam and Route 66. Wally was our tour guide and driver, he was excellent! Very knowable, relaxing voice and super sweet. Hover Dam so was for 15-20 minutes, enough to take pictures and see the magnificent structure. The stop on Route 66 was also for 10-15 minutes, enough to relieve yourself and take pictures with cars from the movies Cars. We had 3 hours at the south rim, Wally recommended a trail from the Mader point to the lodge, to see many view points of the south rim... this was a great suggestion. It was a 4Km walk that felt great after the long bus ride. Be warned that if you go in late December/early January that the paved path will be very slippery in parts...I saw a few people slip on the ice and fall while walking the path (they only clear it near the lodge). Bus ride back to Vegas had 1 stop for a bathroom break. While they do supply a lite breakfast and sandwich lunch, I recommend packing food, especially for the ride home (over the dinner hour and to snack on). Overall I highly recommend this tour and to try to get Wally as your driver!
