What To Expect

Grand Canyon South Rim

After arriving by bus at the Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim, your tour guide will brief you on the highlights of the Grand Canyon so you can make the most of your time here. You will have three (3) hours of free time to explore this wonder of the world at your own pace. Your deli-style lunch can be taken with you to enjoy at one of the lookout points.

My brother and I had always wanted to see the Grand Canyon and the view certainly didn't disappoint! The tour was lovely and our guide Wally was both knowledgeable and funny, making the hours on the road entertaining. I was surprised by how bitterly cold it was though! We didn't bring gloves or scarves and our fingers got too numb for many photos. Dress for skiing weather if visiting in December. We did the Sweetours South rim and though it didn't mention the Hoover Dam, we did get to visit the dam for maybe 15-20 minutes. Our guide also briefly stopped on route 66.

Tour was great with stops at Hoover Damn, Route 66, and at Grand Canyon. Bus was comfortable. Movies were provided. Best of all, Dirk our bus driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable and extremely engaging and entertaining!!! My husband and I made great memories.

Wally our driver and tour guide was most courteous and knowledgeable. He provided many facts about the Hoover Dam, LV and Nevada history and geography. His recommendations for the Grand Canyon helped us make the most of our short stay there.
