What To Expect

Grand Canyon South Rim

After arriving by bus at the Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim, your tour guide will brief you on the highlights of the Grand Canyon so you can make the most of your time here. You will have three (3) hours of free time to explore this wonder of the world at your own pace. Your deli-style lunch can be taken with you to enjoy at one of the lookout points.

It is a long trip and I didn't have to drive it. Bus didn't have to wait in the long lines to get into the park. Nice bus. Lorena was a funny and patient driver. And the Grand Canyon is a must see.

Seeing the Grand Canyon, was simply breathtaking. When Booking, I must have missed the part that our driver was also the tour guide. The information provided by the driver who was also our tour guide was good, but she was very distracted and wanted to let us know she has a Corvette. Several times she spoke with her husband on the phone and at one point was frustrated with him as he could not understand what she was asking for, and asked him to take a picture and send it to her. On another occasion she dropped her phone and was trying to pick it up and almost ran off the road. She then slowed down to pick it up. I was actually afraid to close my eyes as she also hit the shoulder a few times. The drive was long with adequate stops along the way. We opted for the lunch sandwich which was in a cooler under the bus from when the tour started, a portion of the bread was soggy. Cold water was plentiful. Thank you to the driver for extending the return time as a result of an hour wait to get into the park, no fault of hers. Time to walk the Rim was adequate. It was a long day (15 1/2 Hours), started at 6:45am and we got back to the hotel at 10:15pm. Improvements for the trip: - have a driver plus a tour guide. - have lunch ready at the rest stop where they were handed out Our tour date was May 25, 2022.
