Didn’t think the guide’s approach was appropriate for the group. Too confrontational and not affable.

I was disappointed that many of my questions were not answered. Kevin, our guide, was aggressive and dismissive. He takes wonderful pics, however. Honestly, his main redeeming quality. Please consider to send him for some trainings. I asked if the canyon was formed by water. He wasn't specific in his answer and didn't think it was formed by water. The brochure he gave the group -- had that info - "Did you know that?"

Okay... so the views were amazing, seeing the colours change on the grand canyon as the sun set was something we'll never forget. Unfortunately, we'll also never forget Kevin, our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about plants and different species that lived in the canyon and he did take great photographs but he put a negative spin on literally EVERYTHING. He would point out the areas where you would die easily at various scenic points on the canyon, disregarding the fact that my sister was absolutely terrified of heights. He also informed us of the negative history of the Navajo tribe, something that should remain in the past (focus on the good, right?). He would not shut up the entire day about how he was expecting tips. Everything felt rushed. He even asked me if I was drinking my beer through osmosis because I was taking my time with it at dinner. We're Canadian and he would infer that we couldn't understand English. Thankfully, our group of tourists were absolutely wonderful and offset his negativity. I should also say that we all agreed that he wasn't a great guide. I would highly recommend this tour especially if you can specify that you do not want Kevin.
