We loved this tour with Dustin. He was knowledgeable, informative and patient. Took us to the best lookout points and explained in detail the geology of the canyon. We highly recommend this tour.

We were lucky to have Dave’s wife Dora for our Canyons 101, our introduction to the rocks of the West. Dave, a geologist , and Dora, a botanist, have combined their knowledge to create a classy presentation that is varied, entertaining and educational. The tour van moved from one point of interest to the next. We looked, listened, snapped and took short walks to see plant life identified and its uses explained. At the next point she repeated it in just a bit more detail until in the late afternoon she could seat us all on a rock and weave the narrative of thousands of years of geological change in the canyon that we could visualise as we stared over the rocky ledges. Smart teaching! Then she produced little bags of rocks we could now identify by name! When she offered glossy printouts of the flora, fauna and rock formation there was no shortage of takers. You don’t see this level of interest on every tour. Oh... and there was lunch included in a very nice cafe in leafy surroundings. If you’re going to Grand Canyon don’t look past Dave’s Tours.
