Our guide was called Kenny, and he was very knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon aswell as the native Americans and the geology of the Canyon. Lunch is included in your ticket, and we stopped at a trading post with Navajo food and stuff. overall I rate 5 stars.

This is an all day tour in a 10 passenger van. The van was spacious with no more than two persons per seat. Lots of windows although most of the viewing is outside the van at view points etc. If you are going to be in a van all day, the quality of the driver is very important. Our driver, Kenny, was really, really excellent. Smooth, calm, no fuss in tedious driving conditions. I was so glad not to be driving. As a guide, Kenny was also excellent. First he takes you to canyon viewpoints that are not overrun by crowds, but just beautiful. Second he provides discussions about the geology of the canyon and also the flora and fauna. Nice handouts with good information about the canyon. Lunch and shopping at the Cameron Trading post was fine. Crowded attractions like the Lodge are avoided. We had previously done the train trip from Williams and we much prefer the van trip. There is no way to get around a lot of driving to visit the canyon, but Canyon Dave Tours makes it a very enjoyable day.

This is a family business, professionally run with knowledgable guides. We had Dave's wife Dora who was fun and made a very interesting day. Picked up on time from the hotel in a mini bus, we were a small friendly group. There were plenty of drinks and snacks for us to help ourselves throughout the day. Dora drove us to the rim where we had plenty of time to view the canyon, walk around, take photos etc. Dora handed out binoculars which were an added bonus as we watched rafters on the Colorado river down below. We had a geology talk which was interesting and also Dora was happy to answers questions all throughout day. We then drove into the Navajo Reservation where Dora pointed out dwellings and gave us some history. Lunch was lovely and a chance to visit the gift shop if you wanted to before heading back to the hotel. It was a fabulous way to see this wonderful place. On the tour were myself and my husband, two young women travelling together and also a husband, wife and daughter combo and it was suitable for all of us.
