We only had one day to tour the Grand Canyon and wanted to take a tour. We are so glad we used this tour company. We learned more about the area than we ever thought we would learn. Dora was extremely knowledgeable especially about the ecosystem and geology. She has been doing tours for 15 years and actually used to be a park ranger at the Grand Canyon. She is married to Canyon Dave. We would definitely not have gotten the knowledge/positive experience on our own. HIGHLY recommend.

We only spent one day in the canyon and we wanted to get the most out of it. The mrs also wanted to visit an Indian Reservation as well. Most of the jeep tours last a couple of hours but we wanted a bit more. The concierge at the hotel recommended Canyon Dave. The tour starts 9:30am and finished about 5pm. (We were staying in Tusayan, just on the south rim, other locations may vary) You are picked up from the hotel and will be taken back, very convenient. Our guide, Tim arrived 9:30 promt with a nice, big van. We had a small group of 5 people including the guide, Tim said sometimes it is up to 7 people. We drove straight to the canyon. The tour was basically a number of stops in different locations around the south and east rim. At every stop Tim was telling something about the canyon. At one stop we even had a class about the rocks that build up the canyon. Sitting on the rim and learning, best thing ever. Mid day we drove to the Navajo Nation and had lunch. That is when you can meet native american people and also learn about the way they live and the reservation. On the way back there were another few stops then drop off at the hotel. This was one of the best days of my life, the tour as well as the canyon is extraordinary. Would do again and recommend!!

I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Dora was very personable, engaging and extremely knowledgeable not only about the Grand Canyon and how it was formed but also regarding the fauna and the animals of the Grand Canyon National Park and even showed our group fossils. Our group members ranged in age from 7 to 73 and Dora was able to capture everyone's attention for the entire day! Don't forget walking shoes and a camera. Dora provided drinks and snacks and a delicious lunch at a restaurant on a Navajo reservation. In the same building as the restaurant there is a store where not only is there is a very large variety of items to purchase, many of which are made by Native American Indians, but you can also watch a Native American Indian weave, . If you want to have a memorable and hassle free visit to the Grand Canyon book this tour.
