After a long awaited reunion with my brother and sister-in-law we decided to review our "bucket list" and came to the consensus the Grand Canyon was our choice of spots to check off. We contacted Canyon Dave Tours and made a reservation. Our guide, Dora met us exactly on time and we were on our way. Dora provided us with the MOST awesome and informative tour, with special handouts describing the flora and fauna AND physical samples of the various CANYON rock formations; assembled through research performed by she and Dave. It was FANTASTIC. The tour van was comfortable, equipped with the necessary safety features, and we were provided with cold water and juice, as well as snacks and a meal at the conclusion of our tour. The scenery...? Well you have to see it to believe it - so we aren't even going to try to describe it. BUT....we can tell you that Canyon Dave Tours is GREAT

If you're looking for an informative, friendly, informal, comfortable educational and unforgettable tour of the Grand Canyon, look no further but book a tour with Canyon Dave Tours. My guide was Dora Thayer who is charming, helpful and hugely knowlegable of the history and geology of the Grand Canyon (she worked as a Park Ranger there for a number of years) . Dora picked me up and dropped me off directly at my hotel in Flagstaff. She took me to some fantastic viewing places on the South Rim as well as the Grand Canyon Museum. On the return to Flagstaff Dora provided lunch at the Navaho Indian Trading Post which was delicious and very interesting in its own right. Frankly it was an unforgettable experience It is very very good value for money (which was extremely reasonable) and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this tour to anyone-solo ,individuals, families with children, teens, everyone. Look no further. This is the tour you should book. it will be the highlight of your holiday. It was for me.

We chose Canyon Dave's tour based on other reviews in Trip Advisor, and weren't disappointed. As others have said, Dora, who was our guide, is an amiable mine of information on virtually every subject having to do with the Grand Canyon and the region, and loves to share it. You'd have to read a dozen books to get the information you get from her in a day. If all you want to do is stand and look at the Grand Canyon, you don't need Canyon Dave's tour. But if you want to see the Canyon in depth and understand how it was formed, then Canyon Dave's is a great resource.
