If you been to the South rim of the Grand Canyon and you haven't been to the west rim you are really doing yourself an injustice the views are Beyond breathtaking. You park in a parking lot and a shadow takes you to each point of the Grand Canyon. Each stop has views that are so beautiful. There are no railings so you really get to see the park in its natural habitat

It was a long drive from Kingman, but worth it! After one parks the car, you go into the white tent to buy your tickets. A bit pricey. $39 each. Mandatory in order to also get a ticket ($20) for the Skywalk. Then stand and wait for a shuttle that takes you straight to the Skywalk. The trip back includes a couple of stops. You can get off or not. We truly enjoyed our visit there. Food is available, too.

We wanted to see the Grand Canyon and decided on the West Park. We knew we did not have the time to go to the north or to the south park. The drive to the west park is very nice. The west park itself is very nice. Plenty of parking and the shuttle's ran every 10-15 minutes. Entry fee's are what they are. We did decide on doing the walkout. It was nice, but not being a fan of heights, I'm not sure if it really added to my viewing experience. The views were somewhat hampered by smoke from the fires out west., but for the most part they were awesome. There are two viewing areas. I liked Guano Point the best. There was staff that patrolled the edge of the canyon and kept people from getting too close to the edge. There was also walkways and small bridges you could use to get you over cracks in the rocks. Well worth the trip.
