Board our ski-equipped aircraft and enjoy your pilots' commentary about the geological history and local wildlife on your individual headset.   Continue your flight above Talkeetna and over the river systems of the Susitna valley as you enter into an incredible landscape of icefalls, glaciers and snow peaks.  You'll be awed by the Great Gorge of the Ruth Glacier, filled with a 4,000 foot thick river of ice, making this one of the deepest gorges in the world. Travel further into the range to explore the seven major glaciers that blanket the southside of the Alaska Range. Add a glacier landing onto your trip for a highlight of your Alaska vacation.  This will add 30 minutes onto your trip time for this chance to bask in awe inspiring scenery.

We had a beautiful sunny day to see Denali. The sky was clear and the flight was amazing. You could almost touch the mountains. They flew up 60 climbers that day and over 100 climbers were up there to climb Denali. The pics we made were great. We landed on the Glacier and it had over 80 ft of snow there. This Mississippi girl acted like a kid and loved every minute of this adventure. I would highly recommend this excursion. Tip - If you are riding bus to Mt McKinley Lodge, get off at Talkeetna to save time. We called on the road, booked the flight and got off. There are other buses that go back to the lodge every 30 minutes.

There really ought to be a six-star rating for some experiences and this was one of them. TAT was so accommodating you'd think we were old friends. Do they act this way with everyone? I'll bet they do. Vikki and Amanda in the office and pilot Dave were all amazing. We were so disappointed in not getting to see the Great One the first day we drove to Talkeetna. Vikki explained to us just how much we would be able to see and offered to re-schedule us the next day if we wanted to make the effort and return. We did and she did. It was a beautiful day and turned out to be a staggeringly memorable one, enhanced by TAT's professionalism. If a 20,320-foot mountain can be framed in a proper perspective, Dave did it with his narration and flight skill. Bottom line--this isn't cheap but you've got to do it. Yes, really. Pawn your least favorite kid, if you have to but DO IT and do it with TAT.
