What To Expect
1
Grand Teton
The majestic, awe-inspiring Teton Mountain Range of the Rockies is the western edge of Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole. With no foothills before them, these rugged 11,000-13,000+ peaks rise straight up from the Jackson Hole valley below.
2
Mormon Row Historic District
This historic area features the iconic Moulton barns and other original structures built by several Mormon homesteaders in the early 1900s.
3
Oxbow Bend
This bend in the Snake River is the definition of serenity, featuring a stunning view and reflection of Mt. Moran of the Teton Mountain Range in the still water. We often see white pelicans, trumpeter swans, blue herons and occasionally beaver, fox and grizzly bears.
4
Jackson Lake
Fed by the Snake River from the north, this magnificent lake rests at the base of the Tetons and is a recreational haven for boaters, fishermen, paddlers and campers.
5
Jenny Lake Overlook
Named after a Shoshone Indian woman, this glacial moraine jewel at the base of the Tetons is absolutely gorgeous and a must-see!

Our tour guy Katie was superb. Extremely knowledgeable about the Park, Jackson hole and everything to do with the environment. Truly an educational trip on our honeymoon.

It’s difficult to choose the most memorable - it’s like asking which National Park is your favorite. The entire morning was perfect. Sam picked us up at our hotel promptly at 6:30 a.m. with warm burritos for breakfast. Since we were the only two individuals who signed up for the tour (my husband and I) Sam asked us what we wanted to see, and we said we’d love to look for wildlife, and whatever he suggested. We started out and shortly came upon an area where a large bull moose was leisurely enjoying his breakfast. Sam parked and brought out his scope and we spent as much time as we wanted viewing the moose. Sam was kind, patient, knowledgeable and just a great guide all around. We traveled all morning visiting various spots, Saw a huge herd of bison, elk in various spots, and Sam was always agreeable to stop for viewing. He took us to an area where he had previously spotted White Pelicans, and sure enough, a flock with many Great Blue Herons right there. He brought out the scope and viewing was great. The tour company provided binoculars which were nice, but the scope did an excellent job zeroing in. We traveled on and saw foxes and stopped at a lovely peaceful area where beavers are known to be busy. Didn’t see beavers but did see a Lesser Scaup mom and 15 ducklings, which was beautiful. You get the idea. Nice young man who has learned a lot about his job in a short time. Never would have guessed he has not been running tours very long. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire morning and Sam made it a very pleasurable and educational experience for my husband and I. A definite must do, we learned a lot about the Grand Tetons. ,
