My husband, nine-year-old son and I went on the dusk tour of Grand Teton. There were two other family groups (with adult children) on the tour with us. The guide was knowledgeable and it took about 1.5 hours to start seeing wildlife. When we did we saw moose, bison, elk, and prong horn in quick succession. For our family and one of the other ones that was awesome and we would be happy to call it a day and start heading back but we still had about 1.5 hours left. The temperature dropped significantly and we were all freezing even with the blankets provided. The tour guide didn’t read the group well and kept stopping for long periods of time in very windy areas to observe animals with his scope with the dad in the third group. We ended up coming back 15 min late which would’ve been ok but for the weather. This isn’t the best for young children since it’s a long and may be hard for them to spot animals. So this is the tour for you if you really love tracking animals and have patience. Remember to bring layers and bring extra snacks (they provide chips and drinks).

Thank you so much for taking the time to submit such a thoughtful review! I apologize that your family experienced some cooler temperatures that are common in the early spring here at high elevation.
