Overview

Explore Grand Teton National Park in search of wildlife on this exhilarating eco- tour.
Traveling at dawn or dusk from Jackson Hole will give us the best chances to show you the most wildlife in Grand Teton National Park, as this is the prime feeding time for many of the animals.
Sightings may include grizzly and black bear, wolves, moose, bison, elk, eagles, bighorn sheep, fox and so much more!
Your naturalist guide will ensure your enjoyment and safety, teach you all about the park’s geology and ecology, and stop along the way to let you take photos of your gorgeous surroundings.
Guests traveling late spring to early fall (approximately June 1st-September 10th *Weather dependent*) will discover the park in our customized and exclusive open-air safari-style vehicle.
Guests traveling mid fall, winter, and late spring will discover the park in an enclosed, heated and air-conditioned vehicle.
This small-group tour is limited to 10-12 people, ensuring a more personalized experience.

What To Expect

Grand Teton

Elk, moose, mule deer, pronghorn, bison, bighorn sheep, grizzly and black bear, and wolves can all be seen within the park boundaries. Animal species that can be viewed will change throughout the year due to different seasonal changes in Grand Teton National Park. Grand Teton National Park is also a spring and summer birders paradise. You will have opportunity to see bald and golden eagles, sandhill cranes, osprey, hawks, and owls. This tour also covers the human and natural history of Grand Teton National Park as well as the diverse geology within the park. Frequent stops will be made to observe and photograph the various wildlife and landmark points of interest.

My husband Rich and I had the privilege of taking the Grand Teton Wildlife Safari this past Friday with McKenna & Seth as our guides! As a travel agent myself I was looking to try out tour operators to recommend to my clients and this tour did not disappoint!!! McKenna & Seth were extremely knowledgable, friendly, outgoing and made this a fantastic experience. Many of my clients think they can do things like this on their own...but there is no comparison in the value that is added to your experience when you have guides that know where to find the animals to look at, the stunning scenery, how to avoid the chaos of other visitors and they have the equipment to allow you to see everything up close and personal. McKenna was amazing in taking pictures with our personal cell phones through the lens of the telescope...pictures I will cherish! Thank you for making this a fantastic experience! Sara with the Grand Teton Wildlife Safari provided the absolute best experience I could have hoped for. She was very knowledgable about the wildlife, the local plant life, and the history of the area. Listening to her stories were a treat itself. Due to her extensive knowledge of the area, Sara made it her mission to show me all the different animals I was hoping to see, including grizzly bears, bison, elk, moose, and a variety of birds. I would recommend this experience in a heartbeat, especially if you’re like me and not familiar with this region whatsoever.

Turns out I was the only person that had booked a dawn tour for that morning but rather than cancel (which I wouldn't have blamed them), I was taken on a private 4h trip around the Grand Teton National Park which I really really appreciated. Obviously you can't predict what wildlife you will see and although we unfortunately couldn't spot any bears (perhaps a touch too early in Spring to see a lot of them), we did see plenty of bison, moose, elk, deer, bighorn sheep, ground squirrels, as well as a coyote, bald eagles, cranes, and more. To say the guide was hugely knowledgeable is an understatement - I learnt so, so much about the wildlife and the history of the park and of national parks in general in the US. And he could spot wildlife that I never would have seen let alone been able to identify on my own. The locations we went to were also incredibly scenic, and there's plenty of opportunity to take photos, particularly through the scope to get a close-up photo from a safe distance. Fantastic tour company with even more fantastic guides. Spotting wildlife is always a gamble but if you're keen, I highly recommend this company.
