My dad and I did the four-hour tour of the Grand Tetons starting at 6 a.m. from Jackson, and it was hands-down our favorite part of our trip! Gannon, our guide, was a breath of fresh air, and it was obvious he LOVES his job, the area, and the wildlife. He got so excited when we saw three different types of animals in one place that it made me laugh with how genuinely pumped he was! He and Truman (who drove and was in training with the company but is a seasoned guide with previous companies) were so knowledgeable about the area and of the wildlife we saw. We drove in a covered van because it was pretty chilly, but it only rained for about an hour, so we were so happy to see the sun and have the clouds move out to see the Grand Tetons in all their glory! My dad and I came to the area specifically for Yellowstone, but I am now in love with the Tetons! Without this tour, we would have missed out on so many amazing sightings and so much info! The zoom finder thingy Gannon set up was so cool, but the phone app that attached to it where we could all see zoomed-in views of animals was amazing! He shared the pics he took with it with us at the end of the tour, so we all have them to look back on and remember that beautiful morning! There were six adults and two kids on our tour, and there is usually only one guide, but we got lucky. It was easier to hear Gannon because he was in the passenger seat and able to face back toward us when he was telling us things. Gannon proved snacks (protein bars and chips) and water or soda, and we stopped at a lodge for a bathroom and coffee break. With cups of hot liquid and snacks, it was a bit difficult because there weren’t many cup holders or anywhere to put things, but we all managed! My dad, 71, says he doesn’t really like tours because he and my ma did so many on the cruises they used to go on, but he gave this tour an A+++! Shout-out to Gannon (on the right in the provided pic) for being amazing at his job.

A trip well worth taking! Kyle passed on lots of info that I did not know. He was an excellent wildlife spotter too. We saw elk, pronghorn, muskrat, and a coyote!
