There are few things so quintessentially NYC as pizza. Combine that with a fun tour and a great guide, and you have a terrific afternoon ahead of you. My family booked the Crosstown Tour with Alexis as our guide. We learned; we ate; we laughed; and we had a fantastic experience. Sure . . . if you're visiting NYC for the first time, you need to take in an iconic museum, One World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty, etc. However, if you really want to come away with an authentic slice of NYC (pun intended), I HIGHLY recommend Scott's Pizza Tours.

This tour was received as a birthday gift. At almost £35 per head for a 2.5 hour tour I think it represents great value. We visited 3 different pizza restaurants with our host Alexis, who I cannot rate highly enough. His other job is a stand up comic and he delivered the tour with an abundance of knowledge and wit. I love pizza and it was great to learn about its history in Italy and then New York. We asked Alexis for his ‘condemned mans last pizza’ top tips and checked these venues out later on in our trip. They more than lived up to the hype. With over 2400 different pizza joints in New York, when next in town (hopefully soon!) we will not hesitate in doing another tour. Keep up the good work Alexis!

My boyfriend and I came to New York on holiday last year and wanted to do something a little different to your typical tourist experiences. About a week before our trip we saw Scott's Pizza Tours mentioned on reddit and just knew we had to check it out. We booked on to the Lower East Side walking tour and our guide was Joan, who was so friendly and knowledgeable. We had the best time and all of the pizza places we visited were excellent. I haven't shut up about this tour since we did it and keep telling anyone I know who is going to New York to take a tour. We would definitely do another tour if we come back! Please can you expand to run tours in London??
