What To Expect
1
Washington Square Park
Washington Square Park is legendary. You’ve seen it in a ton of films, it’s the unofficial campus of NYU students and you’ll see some of the coolest people in the city here. Feed pigeons. Hear musicians and watch street performers. You never know what to expect. Oh except for the mighty arch which is, of course, renowned.
2
The Stonewall Inn
The Stonewall Inn is such a huge historical site - literally and figuratively. We pass by the prideful institution as well as its new statue which was installed to commemorate it’s 50th anniversary.

Amazing food was expected (Expectations were exceeded! Best pizza I've ever had), but the real highlight of the tour was Dante, the tour guide. He was incredibly warm and very witty. He dropped historical knowledge as we walked the streets (the narrowest building in NYC was awesome), in addition to stories and information about the food places (the proper way to cook a bagel, 40 dipping sauces for french fries!!) Dante also made sure that the group wasn't just a bunch of strangers, prompting interaction between the 10 other people (having a smaller sized group also was a plus). We made great bonds with a couple from Australia, a mother and her grown son, and some visiting Canadians. I can't wait until I have the opportunity to take Nice Guy's food tour of the Lower East Side!
